Angela Martinez 

As Ms. United States 2024, my platform focuses on advocating for mental health awareness and specifically suicide prevention. I proudly represent and am a partner with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Hawai’i Chapter, working to educate, provide resources, and create a safe space for those struggling with mental health challenges. I am a proud single mother to a beautiful 15 year old daughter and have worked for Mercedes-Benz of Honolulu for the last 13 years. A few fun facts about me are that I am the only female amongst 16 sales consultants in my company, I also began my journey in pageantry in April 2024, competing in and winning the state pageant in Hawai’i held this past June. This was my first and only pageant/contest experience, leading to being crowned Ms. United States 2024! Outside of pageants, I enjoy staying active with kickboxing, exploring garage sales, and refurbishing furniture with my daughter. Baking and cooking up new recipes are other favorite hobbies of mine.

For the upcoming year, I plan to use my platform to expand suicide prevention initiatives nationally, collaborating with local communities and AFSP chapters to host events and share educational resources. I plan to continue volunteering at schools, care homes, and all around my community as well as organizing my own sign-waving events across the island and mainland in the near future. I aim to inspire young women to pursue their passions with confidence, sharing my experiences to encourage them to embrace new challenges.

It is an honor to hold this Title and represent my state of Hawai’i on a national stage. I look forward to connecting with others and making a positive impact in our communities throughout the year!
