Payton Myers

My name is Payton Christine Myers, your new Miss Junior Teen United States - 2021.  I will use my Title to encourage children to believe that it is a gift to be smart, talented, independent and to work hard to make dreams come true.

I am a freshman at the Alabama School of Fine Arts where I specialize in modern and classical ballet.  I have been fortunate to have some pretty amazing opportunities like runway modeling in New York and Paris Fashion Week and appeared in several magazines.  My true love is performing.  I have performed in numerous theatrical productions, and performed with the Alabama Ballet in “The Nutcracker “and “Sleeping Beauty”.  I also enjoy singing and playing my guitar “Jolene”.  There is nothing like being on stage waiting for the curtains to open!  After high school, I plan to continue my education at The Julliard School in New York City.

My passion for arts motivated me to create my platform “Spark the Arts” to encourage children to develop their artistic skills.  Currently, I’m working with the Leeds Arts Council on a t-shirt fundraiser and a community talent show to assist in purchase new equipment, provide scholarships and to motivate children to get involved in their community theater.  Long term goals for my platform include being an advocate for art programs both in the education system and within communities throughout the country.
